My trick for getting it just right is to paint the wall three quarters, or just half of its height. This makes the ceiling appear larger, which makes the room feel bigger. Additionally, you’ll save money by using less paint. With this approach, feel free to explore deep and darker shades as well as a lighter color on the ceiling as it will allow the room to feel airy and bright.
